Life-Work Balance – Ep. 12: No excuses to skip your workout
You all know by now that exercise is one of the key solutions for a healthier lifestyle. I’ve been talking about this for months as part of my Life-Work Balance series and you have probably read tons of articles about it.
Exercise has many benefits that I won’t list here today (but you can find out in Episode 7) where I talked about the benefits of exercise for your body and for your mind because everything is connected.
We’re always very busy in our daily life but, we must make time for exercise because it will help us be more productive and more successful. If you are an entrepreneur, a business owner, a solo entrepreneur like me, it’s imperative that you take care of yourself because your business depends on you. So, you have no excuse to skip exercise and you have many options to fit it into your busy schedule, especially with today’s technology.
Disclaimer: You should keep in mind that I’m not a doctor, a nutritionist or a dietitian so I can’t give you medical or professional advice, but I can share tips and give you general guidelines on how to improve your health by making small and easy changes. This post contains general medical information based on my personal experience. This information should not replace medical advice from your doctor or other professional health care provider. If you have any questions in regard to a medical condition, you should consult your doctor or other professional health care provider.
The resource I’d like to share with all of you today is Grokker.
Grokker is an online wellness resource that provides a very comprehensive solution for better health to employees and individuals with over 4,000 of high-quality, high-definition videos that cover exercise, mindfulness, nutrition and sleep, and you can watch them at your own pace. Not only that, but once you sign up you will have access to a community of experts, a patented program, and a lot of support that will allow you to achieve your wellness goals.
I relate a lot to the founder of Grokker. Her name is Lorna Borenstein, and she created this community after experiencing burnout in the tech world. Lorna is the typical busy mom of our times, always on the go, and she needed something to keep her on track with her fitness and wellness in general and, at the same time, something that was flexible enough to access at any time.
Watch my Periscope broadcast below to find out more about Grokker, their programs, their membership options. Plus, they have a great app that you can download to your mobile devices. Brilliant!
