Don’t take your life too seriously
“My ideal role would be a baddie in a James Bond film. I think the wheelchair and the computer voice would fit the part.” ~ Stephen Hawking
We recently lost Stephen Hawking, the legendary British theoretical physicist. I didn’t know him enough, but I will always remember him as one of the world’s greatest scientists who, despite his extraordinary work and his physical disability, was extremely charismatic and he had a great sense of humor.
Hawking said in a documentary from a few years ago, “Keeping an active mind has been vital to my survival, as has maintaining a sense of humor. I am probably better known for my appearances on The Simpsons and on The Big Bang Theory than I am for my scientific discoveries.”

That’s why I decided to use one of his funny quotes. It’s not my intention to diminish his contributions to science. My point is, he too enjoyed life, he inspired many of us and he taught us a lot about life.
I think we should all take our life less seriously, find the lighter side of it even in difficult situations. Negativity and depression won’t help the challenges go away, rather they will make it even more difficult to take action and find a way.
