My new book, Live Life Fully, was inspired by my personal experience and by working with my wonderful clients. We all share a passion for our job, and a workaholic attitude. But we also have a family and we have a hard time juggling everything during the day – and the night. And with all this in our daily lives, there seems to be no time for ourselves, and for our health – physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual.

You work long hours because you love what you do, and you are constantly busy (but not very productive)
How many times do you ask yourself, “Where did the time go? I haven’t even finished half of the tasks in my to-do list, and it’s already time for dinner!” I found myself in this situation several times years ago, and I had to stay up late, working on the computer until I was exhausted and my brain wasn’t functioning anymore.
I would then go to sleep still thinking about what I needed to complete before the next day. Lots of worries and negative thoughts. I would set the alarm very early in the morning so that I could catch up with the to-dos before starting a new day at the office. And the next day would be exactly the same.
Crazy, I know! I really loved my job (as an event planner in my previous career) but it was draining me.
I came to a point where my passion was not a passion anymore. Work had become a nuisance, I was working ALL DAY (meaning 6am-1pm, 2pm-7pm, 9pm-2am) just to stay up to date with my deadlines. My social life was practically non-existent, especially during the busy wedding season.
But… Was I productive? Not enough, and sometimes not at all. Being a perfectionist, I realized I was wasting a lot of time to make everything perfect. Most of all, not sleeping enough was a huge downside because I was pushing my body and brain beyond their limits and capabilities. No energy, no enthusiasm, no joy, no results. And eventually no health.
My body was sending me a lot of signals. That’s when I realized I had to change.
When I decided to turn my life around and start from ME, everything changed. The energy, focus, clarity, positivity, creativity came back, and productivity increased. I was able to live again, to enjoy special moments again, and to see outstanding results in my business. Even if I was spending less hours working. Amazing, don’t you think? Less hours working, better results and better well-being at the same time.
