In this week’s video, I shared tips on how to stay active at home. You don’t need a home gym or special equipment to move, no excuses to sit still all day. Watch below!
After spending the last couple of years between quarantine and lockdowns because of the pandemic, we adapted to a new normal, staying at home more than usual, and working from home more than ever. This shift has reshaped our lifestyles, and we got used to … move less. No more commuting to the office (because you can work from your spare bedroom), no more running errands (because you can order groceries and buy pretty much whatever you need and want from the comfort of your couch), and no more taking the kids to school (many schools have reopened, but some students are still using online learning).
There can also be cases where you have to stay home all day, maybe you just had a baby (congrats!), or you’re assisting an aging parent. In that case, you spend more time taking care of them, and less time taking care of yourself.
But a sedentary life is not good for our health, for our mood, and for our productivity.
