Breathe Better to Live Happier (Video) – Episode 39 of Your Weekly Dose of Life-Work Balance

In this video, I talk about the ultimate self-care practice: breathing. Watch below!

How many times do you pay attention to your breathing? Maybe it never happens! Our daily lifestyle, including stress, or even our ruminating thoughts, put our bodies under a lot of pressure, and our breath tends to go shallow during those situations. Yet, conscious breathing is such a powerful and transformative tool that is always available to us, and it can help us switch from the sympathetic state to the parasympathetic state, and relax.

In the video, I shared some of the best breathing techniques to add to your self-care routines. Remember: stress will always be part of our lives and we can’t always control the trigger, but we can control our response.

If you didn’t know yet, I have a genetic variation that makes me more prone to anxiety – that explains a lot of things since I lived with anxiety for decades! This is why I always incorporate self-care techniques to reset my nervous system, and breathing is one of them.
