Cultivate Gratitude with Journaling (Video) – Episode 51 of Your Weekly Dose of Life-Work Balance

In this video, I shared the benefits of gratitude and tips to cultivate gratitude with journaling to increase mindfulness, boost your well-being, and make positive changes in your life. Watch below!

If you don’t know yet, in my coaching practice I use different modalities to help my clients optimize their inner resources and upgrade themselves: neuroscience, chronobiology, positive psychology, and epigenetics which studies how our lifestyle, behavior, and the environment around us influences gene expression.

Behaviors that positively impact genetic expression include a nutrient-rich diet, movement, deep and restful sleep, social connections, meditation, and gratitude. When you journal about gratitude, you can recognize goodness in your life, in the world, and realize how blessed you are. This doesn’t mean that life must be perfect: gratitude journaling helps you notice that, despite challenges and setbacks, life is filled with positive events and people. You stop taking things for granted.

In the video, I went through the many benefits of cultivating gratitude (not only for your overall well-being but also for your relationships with others), what to journal about (if you have never tried, it can be challenging at the beginning), and I included tips to start, stay consistent, and get the positive benefits of the practice.
