Homeostasis is the internal equilibrium that ensures our body functions optimally within specific conditions, and this is crucial for our overall health and well-being. The body constantly monitors all of its systems and, when it detects changes, it responds with certain mechanisms to actively restore stability. Examples of homeostasis mechanisms include temperature regulation, blood sugar control, pH Balance, blood pressure regulation, hydration and fluid balance, and more.

Unfortunately, our modern lifestyle challenges this equilibrium: factors like poor diet, chronic stress, sedentary habits, and excessive exposure to artificial lighting disrupt our body’s natural balance, making it harder to maintain homeostasis. Even though I’m not a doctor, I help my clients understand and integrate the concept of homeostasis into their lives so that they can make sustainable lifestyle changes for improved health and happiness.
