But when you just chew and swallow foods in a few seconds without even noticing, your body is not able to process the nutrients you just gave it.

On the other hand, mindful eating is when you pay attention to what you put in your mouth, and you take the time to chew and enjoy the flavors of the ingredients in your meals. This allows you to digest and absorb the nutrients better. Mindful eating connects you with the physical and sensorial relationship with your food. It’s about taking the time to feed and nourish your body and mind in a compassionate manner.

What is Mindful Eating?

Mindful eating helps you enjoy your food in a much more fulfilling and complete way: you bring attention and awareness to aromas, flavors, and textures, you reconnect with all of your senses, and you increase appreciation for the food you eat.

Not only that: we can all agree that food is our fuel, it gives us energy. But it’s a lot more than that: food is information for our genes, it gives biological instructions to our bodies to promote health. Shouldn’t we pay closer attention to the food we eat and celebrate our meals?

During a Nourish Your Life Workshop, you will learn how to build a mindful eating practice, and we will sit down for a delicious meal while I guide you through different prompts. You will be able to notice the different aspects of your experience and acknowledge them, using one sense at a time, and enjoying every bite of your meal.

At the end of the workshop, you will receive scripts and tips to incorporate more mindfulness into your eating routine and make it a consistent part of your life.

I can customize the workshop for individuals or groups, and with different durations, but I recommend at least 1 hour to be able to go through the entire exercise.
