Remember to laugh today
“The most wasted of days is one without laughter” ~ E. E. Cummings
We live in difficult times and we see more and more people with sad or serious faces. They’re depressed, they’re under pressure, they feel threatened by everything that’s going on in our world. I don’t blame them. Sometimes we feel the same way. We all have our problems: it’s maybe relationships, money, work, sickness. Each of us has to deal with a lot every single day. But, do you know what can help, even if it’s a temporary relief? Laughter. It’s good for your happiness and for your health. You just need a good laugh.

When you laugh our body releases those feel-good chemicals called endorphins and dopamine, and they can make us feel better. Laughter is great for social interaction, it brings us closer to people and it put us in a better mood (so we can have a different perspective about our problems). But it also has health benefits that maybe some of you don’t know about.
Laughter reduces the release of stress hormones, it enhances your mood, it boosts your immune system (that means you’ll get sick less often), it relieves pain, it promotes creativity, it reduces depression, it stimulates antibody cells, it improves circulation and it can reduce blood pressure. It also exercises various muscle groups in your face and in your body including the diaphragm. Aren’t you laughing yet?
There’s more: laughter can be contagious – have you ever tried? It’s amazing!
When you have this positive approach and people see you laugh often they will remember you for the positivity you bring to them. They will love to hang out with you because you will make them feel better.
So, remember to laugh today! It feels good!
